Marketing is an activity that focuses on the future and on innovation NOT just in products but also in services, solutions, business models, market approaches, complete offerings and anything else that contributes to a complete customer brand experience.
The chemicals and plastics industry must move away from its fixation with pure product innovation.
Marketing and Innovation need to be led and driven from the top of the organization and thrive only if the company culture and mindset is correct.
