Simon Middleton, founder:

Simon Middleton helps clients dramatically innovate and change to gain marketshare in volatile modern markets.

He is the founder of  Simon Middleton Company, a specialist brand and creative-thinking consultancy, and is also co-founder and director of full-service brand communications agency Turton Middleton. Both businesses work with a wide range of corporates, SMEs and entrepreneurs as well as in the charitable and public sectors.

Simon launched his consultancy in 2005, after more than 20 years in marketing (plus a 10 year sojourn in the NHS, as a clinician and a senior manager).

The success of Simon Middleton Company and subsequently Turton Middleton has contributed to Simon’s growing reputation as an original and creative thinker in the field of brands and brand communications as well as creative-thinking for business development. He appears regularly in regional and national media as a commentator on brand issues.

Simon is frequently asked to run workshops on the themes of creative-thinking, brand-building and business strategy for businesses and organisations in the UK and Europe. In addition Simon also provides coaching/mentoring and consultancy with individual entrepreneurs and senior executives.

Akzo Nobel, Eastern Data Group, Orchard Toys, Thames Innovation Centre, Denplan, Comic Relief and Tulip Foods.

Simon has also pioneered the use of Morphological Analysis as a problem-solving and innovation technique in business and organisations, and is frequently presents workshops on this particular theme.

A qualified teacher and registered nurse (working with people with severe learning disabilities), Simon’s range of experience enables him to bring a unique perspective to his role as a business advisor.

He continues to teach, both as a guest lecturer at the University of East Anglia (UEA), and as the Unit Leader of a new Master of Arts degree in ‘Managing The Creative Enterprise’ at the prestigious Norwich School of Art and Design (NSAD).

Simon is a Chartered Institute of Marketing regional Marketer of The Year.
